HISTORY
Nevada Cancer Centers (NCC) was established in 1974 as a premier medical practice specializing in hematology/medical oncology services. NCC had also achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Genuine concern for the patient combined with current treatment options was the foundation for exceptional medical care and success in the Las Vegas community. NCC is honored that this fact has remained consistent for over thirty-eight years.
FOUNDER OF NCC
M. Nafees Nagy, M.D., founded Nevada Cancer Centers in 1974 and has built one of the largest Hematology/Medical Oncology practices in southern Nevada. He is actively involved in committee memberships and Board of Directorships for various medical and business organizations.
Dr. Nagy received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his fellowship training at the University of Utah College of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. His first medical practice opened in Las Vegas in 1974.
Dr. Nagy served as an active member of the Nevada Medical Legal Screening Panel. For eight years, he served as a member for the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners and also held office as Secretary. In addition, Dr. Nagy serves on various banking committees, including member of the Board of Directors for Western Alliance Bank Corp, a bank holding company, and is actively involved in the financial community of Southern Nevada.
Dr. Nagy also served as a member of the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee for the Clark County Medical Society, and was appointed by the State of Nevada to serve as a member on the Disability Rating Committee for the Department of Industrial Relations. Dr. Nagy is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the United Stated Army Reserves, and has assisted in operation "Desert Storm" in 1991.
Dr. Nagy is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance, consulting for several healthcare concerns. Having practiced medicine already for over 30 years in Las Vegas, Dr. Nagy continues to provide quality care for the community by exceeding the needs of every patient.

Nevada Cancer Centers provides special services such as a full service laboratory, on-site PET/CT imaging, the most advanced radiation therapy using Image Guided Radiation Therapy IGRT technology (featuring Elekta Synergy), and we even provide transportation for those patients in need of a ride to treatment.

Chemotherapy infusions to include ambulatory infusion pumps, IV hydration and IV antibiotics / IGRT and IMRT Radiation oncology service /
Laboratory testing to include CBC, chemistry panels, Tumor marker studies, additional hematology testing available / Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration will be performed in the office / Oncology services will also include PET/CT and diagnostic CT scans as well as oral chemotherapy / Additional pharmacy items are available in the office as prescribed by physicians.

- NCC has FOUR convenient locations (North, Northwest, Southwest and Central).
- NCC utilizes Certified Physician Assistants and ONCC certified nurses.
- The professional staff at NCC is fluent in English, Spanish, Tagalog, Greek, Farsi, Urdu and Cantonese.
- NCC will extend its hours of operation to accommodate an increase in patient volume
- NCC provides patient appointments within 24 hours. New patient appointments are provided within 24 to 48 hours
- An NCC physician is ALWAYS on-call after business hours.
Nevada Cancer Center’s credentials are exceptional by recruiting some of the finest physicians from premier cancer facilities all over the United States. These talented physicians have brought their knowledge and expertise to our facilities throughout Southern Nevada. All of the physicians are board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. Chemotherapy nurses are all certified by the Oncology Nursing Society and most are Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN) through Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). NCC had also achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as the first outpatient oncology clinic receiving this accomplishment.
